Paradise
While Ben and Vicki stayed at a base cabana, Vicki did some laundry at the base laundromat. As of 2/2025, it costs $2/load for the top loader and $4 for the front loader and $.25 for every 5 minutes of using the dryer, coins (quarters) only. Across the street from the laundromat are a Drive Thru Joe’s coffee stand with unique Hawaiian coffee flavors such as mac nut and coconut and the base library. The library was impressive. In addition to books, there is a seed exchange, a decorative cake pan library, and a board game library!
Vicki and her husband are thankful for 1 elderly dog at home and 4 adult kids living out of state. Some of Vicki's interests, in random order, include cooking (mostly Asian and plant-based) simple ethnic dishes using kitchen appliances/gadgets, minimalism/simple living, traveling (mostly in Asia), nature walking, snorkeling, container gardening, learning hula, reading non-fiction, listening to audiobooks, talking story with neighbors while walking our dog, visiting museums/historical sites, Lay Biblical Counseling and volunteering at church and in the community.
