Ever since we were quarantining during Covid, I have learned a lot from AARP’s free Zoom webinars, mostly the ones from AARP Hawaii but also nationwide. They have covered a wide range of topics including cooking, gardening, self defense, home organization, caring for elderly relatives, financial planning, watercolor painting, photography and more. They are geared toward those who are age 55+ but open to anyone of any age.
Recently I became an AARP Hawaii volunteer, mostly to help them with their Zoom programming. Two events this week include presentations from the Honolulu Police Department’s Crimestoppers and the Honolulu Fire Department’s Fire Safety and 911 Information.
