Great Hawaii Mapathon

There is a virtual community service event on 8/19/2020 called the Great Hawaii Mapathon hosted by the American Red Cross. We will be learning about the Missing Maps Project and learn how to map buildings and roads in underdeveloped countries so humanitarian and disaster relief can reach them in emergencies. It’s also a good way for teens to gain community service hours during this stay-at-home pandemic. If kids are under age 16, they will need parent support/approval. Our scouting group, Mililani Venturing Crew 808, happens to be doing it as an activity but it’s also possible to participate on your own or with friends.
