Three Surgeries in One Year

Yesterday I went to the operating room for the 3rd time in a year. I had a uroscopy and laser nephrolithotripsy with a ureteral stent to remove a large kidney stone. Last October I had my right total knee replacement surgery (TKR) and last March I had my left TKR. I’m so thankful to Jesus and the doctors and staff that the surgeries went well and for our family and friends for their constant support.

My stent will be in for 3 weeks. It’s uncomfortable and a little painful but not too bad so far. Yesterday was Groundhog Day so my surgeon and I were half joking that hopefully I won’t need to have a repeat of this surgery, although that is a possibility.

Here’s a YouTube video about the kidney stone removal surgery: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oU_GUAWz52w.
